Roles, the law, health & safety, fire safety, emergencies, communication and customer care.
Working as a Security Officer
Patrolling, access & egress control, search procedures, assignment instructions, evidence preservation and incident response.
Conflict Management
Recognising, defusing and resolving workplace conflict — verbal de-escalation, dynamic risk assessment and post-incident support.
Assessment
Three short multiple-choice exams (one per unit), all delivered on-site at the end of each unit.

- Aged 18 or over on the first day of the course
- Valid photo ID — passport, UK driving licence or biometric residence permit
- Basic English language ability (around Level 1 / B1)
