Are your SIA courses recognised by the Security Industry Authority?

Yes. Security Training London is an SIA Approved Centre delivering Ofqual-regulated qualifications via Highfield, Pearson and Industry Qualifications. Every certificate we issue is accepted by the SIA when applying for your front-line licence.

Do I need any qualifications before I book?

No prior qualifications are required. You must be 18 or over, hold valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or biometric residence permit) and have a basic understanding of English (around Level 1).

How quickly can I get on a course?

Courses start every week across our East London venues. If you book by Wednesday, we can usually get you on a course starting that weekend.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. You can secure your place with a small deposit and pay the balance on the first day of training, or split the fee across several payments — just ask when you book.

About this course

Our 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is an Ofqual-regulated, HSE-recognised qualification valid for three years. It's the qualification required by the SIA for new Door Supervisor licence applications, and it's also the standard low-risk workplace first aid qualification for offices, retail, schools, restaurants and event environments. Hands-on, practical training delivered by experienced first aid instructors.
