What to Bring to Your SIA Course (Checklist)

19 November 2025·4 min read

Everything you need to bring to your SIA Door Supervisor or CCTV course on day one — ID, paperwork, kit and what to wear.

Essential ID

Bring TWO forms of ID — at least one with your photo. Acceptable photo ID: passport, UK driving licence, biometric residence permit. Acceptable supporting ID: bank statement, utility bill, council tax bill (within 3 months).

Paperwork

Booking confirmation email, payment receipt, and any pre-course information we've sent you. We'll provide all training materials, candidate handbooks and assessment papers.

What to wear

Smart-casual clothing is fine for the classroom days. For Physical Intervention day (usually day 4 or 5), wear comfortable trousers and a t-shirt — no jewellery, watches or anything sharp in pockets.

Lunch & breaks

We have a kitchen with tea/coffee on-site. There are plenty of shops, supermarkets and food outlets within 5 minutes of every venue. Bring a refillable water bottle.
