About this course
Fire Marshals (also called Fire Wardens) are legally required in every UK workplace under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Our 1-day Fire Marshal course covers fire law, fire risk assessment, evacuation procedures and live practical extinguisher training — giving you everything you need to take on the role with confidence. Fire Safety Law
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, employer duties, the role of the Responsible Person and the Fire Marshal.
Fire Behaviour & Risk Assessment
Fire triangle, classes of fire, identifying hazards, risk assessment process.
Practical Extinguisher Use
Hands-on practical with water, foam, CO2 and powder extinguishers.
Evacuation Procedures
Designing and running evacuation drills, assembly points, vulnerable persons (PEEPs) and reporting.
Assessment
Short multiple-choice knowledge check plus practical extinguisher assessment.
Resits: Re-attendance available at a reduced rate.

- Aged 18 or over on the first day of the course
- Valid photo ID — passport, UK driving licence or biometric residence permit
- Basic English language ability (around Level 1 / B1)
- No prior qualifications required
